Now this is what I call innovation – worthwhile innovation – innovation to spend the R&D money on – you get the point. The smart people at Panasonic have released the world’s thinnest speaker that measures a mere 1.5mm in thickness. This is a size reduction of 40 percent from the previous speaker that measured at 2.5mm. Despite the small size, according to Panasonic, there are no audio quality compromises made to the PED (Panasonic Electronic Device). The world’s smallest speaker should go into production in May 2007.
