hbv100.PNGSony has just released a Bluetooth VoIP kit that’s available in blue, exclusively for the Windows based PC. Sorry Mac users, Sony doesn’t dig you, apparently. And after seeing its competitive ad campaign for the non-PC PC (it sounds so stupid) for the new VAIO class, you can probably understand why. Somehow Sony thinks of the Mac as its new competitor. Forget Dell and HP, they are after Apple. Then again, who isn’t? It’s cool these days to go after Apple and make a joke out of yourself.

Anyways, back to the VoIP kit… The headset comes bundled with a Bluetooth adapter, so you can connect to PCs (desktops and notebooks) even if they don’t already have built-in Bluetooth connectivity option. It promises 12 hours of talk time and 300 hours of standby time, which is pretty decent.

There’s no word on pricing, though Sony expects to release the HBV-100 by the end of this year.
