glidermouse.PNGWhile a lot of us have seen funky gadgets here and there, there are very few peripherals that cross that traditional line. Hela states:

“The central mouse position gives you an optimal working posture and eliminated the painful motion of repeatedly having to reach out for the mouse next to the keyboard. The Glider Mouse is very easy to use and ideal for both right and left handed users. Simply plug in the mouse into a USB port and you're already making progress towards a more healthy and comfortable way of working your computer.”

I can understand their perspective on ergonomics, but let’s face it people, you can’t change the entire industry single-handedly. Not to mention, if I was looking at something like this at BestBuy or Circuit City, I probably wouldn’t buy it. I don’t care what claims they make, we are used to the same old, same old mice and keyboard, and there’s no way anyone is going to tell me to change something that I’ve been using for 10 years.

Oh yeah, did I mention this thing costs ~$283? Wow! While I don’t think it’s available in the US, those of you in the UK will get to enjoy this beauty at sometime in the future.
