At the KES 2006, Samsung revealed a new multimedia Smartphone that’s, well, a little on the outdated side.

The Samsung EW-700 packs a host of features including an MP3 player, web browser, VoIP capability, instant messenger, movie player, 2-megapixel camera and a number of other features that we can’t translate from Korean to English. Unfortunately, the specifications aren’t too detailed either, so it’s difficult to see just how powerful the EW-700 really is.

I would like to believe that features on the EW-700 will be up to speed and updated, but considering the exterior of the phone, I’m not too confident. I know, I know, I always whine about the smudges that shiny exteriors are generally plagued with, but that doesn’t mean we should go back to the 80’s. Come on, Samsung, what were you thinking when you decided to showcase that thing? Oh, that’s right, you weren’t!

There’s no word on pricing or availability, and quite frankly, we hope it never makes it to the market.
