msicrystal.PNGAs always, this is not much of a surprise. MSI is so inspired with latest Apple designs that it has borrowed the design for itself. Great going, geniuses!

The system is based on the Intel 945G chipset with support for Intel Prescott microprocessor. Because of the ridiculously hot chip, the MSI Crystal 945 has a heatpipe cooling thermal dissipation system, which should be pretty effective, though nothing compared to an Apple system.

The system also has onboard graphics for light graphics work, but you can upgrade the graphics adapter with a third-party PCI x16 solution for gaming, which is a nice bonus. Other features, such as a card reader, Bluetooth connectivity and Ethernet capabilities, are available as well.

No word on availability or pricing, but I sure hope it doesn’t cost as much as an Apple system.
