hpwebcam.PNGHP recently announced an addition of a 2-megapixel wide-angle webcam that looks a little too old school, in my opinion. In today’s day and age of sleek and sexy consumer electronics, it’s definitely no match for someone who’s looking for an amazing looking device.

According to HP, it offers exceptional image quality (not much of a surprise, is it?), rotates 76 degrees diagonally and 65 degrees horizontally and with a flexible arm that fits on all LCD displays.

In addition, the camera can take pictures in 1600x1200 resolution, is equipped with face-tracking technology, USB 2.0 connectivity, integrated microphone, snapshot button for quick photo capture and comprehensive photo and video editing software.

I must say the new HP webcam is pretty good and is exactly what you should be looking for in the 2.0 generation of webcams (except for the looks maybe)

There’s no word on price or availability, but I would hope it makes it to the market during the holiday season.
