yeppt9.PNGAs if the Cowon iAudio F2 wasn’t enough of a letdown for today, Samsung has released a similar DAP that’s maybe a step better than the F2. I don’t particularly despise it, like I do to F2, but eh; it’s not the most attractive looking gadget in the basket.

The Yepp T9 comes in five color themes (internal, not external) with menu animations, 1.8-inch display, lithium-ion rechargeable battery and 30 hours of music playback and 6 hours of video playback capabilities. The battery life on this device is pretty sweet.

From the images, the screen appears to be very crisp, bright and high-resolution.

The Yepp T9 DAP is available in 1GB, 2GB and 4GB flavors for $180, $220 and $280, respectively. Unfortunately (or fortunately), it’s only available in Korea.

Thanks Samsung for coming up with a super device with a lackluster design.
