newshuffle.PNGApple today announced an upgrade to its popular screen-less iPod Shuffle. The concept remains the same, but boy, oh boy, does the new Shuffle look spectacular.

It measures 1.07 x 1.62 x 0.41, weighs 0.55 ounces, has 1GB of storage (store up to 240 songs), supports a number of audio formats and frequencies and updated earphones.

The thing I really liked about the new Shuffle is the clip design. Basically, the back of the music player has a clip that’s as big as the player itself. That will make it easy to carry around. Not to mention, the device looks spectacular with an updated design.

Apple’s new iPod Shuffle is available immediately for the price of $79.00, which makes it one of the most effective and smallest music players in the market.

I guess Jobs’ idea of having people purchase a new iPod every year was right on.

Your article is very hard to read. It may be English; it's not American. "Insane", "less than spectacular", "least effective", etc. - are you praising the iPod or dissing it.

Amazing that you see it that way. I find it cool and stylish. So small, and oozing quality. It takes up no space ... my only worry is that I might displace it, never to find it again.
It is 100% minimalist. Apple at its best.

I don't think you were sure how you felt about this thing while writing your review. It changes back and forth. ie "least effective and smallest"

I agree with Javier.

OK. Aside from that Great Site and interesting new stuff on here.

This thing looks great! The clip is the best feature EVER!

All you need is 1 gig anyways. If you're gonna watch a movie use a laptop. If you want more songs change them when you get home.

Why put whole albums on your 300 gig eyeplod when you only like one song from it.

This clip design rocks so hard over that dumbass armband for ipods. This is so much better than getting a case with a belt loop.

Genius. The only downside is that its by CrApple and use iToons.

Great site. Keep up the good work.

What, what?

The design is quite refined. Unfortunately Apple seems to be positioning this as a disposable device. Check out the small print on the Nano page:

"...Rechargeable batteries have a limited number of charge cycles. Battery life and number of charge cycles vary by use and settings... Please note: iPod shuffle features a built-in rechargeable lithium polymer battery and is not replaceable."

It's beautiful. Unfortunately, a "disposable" ipod doesn't seem very environmentally friendly.

ajb;

the standard iPods are also described as having non-replaceable batteries.

It's more an issue of pointing out that it doesn't come with a hearing-aid battery that you can pick up at Walmart.

Wow, I'm must be going crazy lately. I apologize everyone. The entry has been updated to reflect my thoughts. No wonder some of you couldn't comprehend the post; it doesn't make any sense and contradicts itself on a couple of places. It has been fixed, however.

Yes, I really like the new Shuffle. Please ignore the previous comments.

Thanks for the encouraging words.

Take care,
Ravdeep

Javier:

Please read other entries on DailyCE.com and let me know if you are having a difficult time comprehending those.

Thanks.

By the way, the new Shuffle isn't available until October.

Erick:

Yes, I'm aware of that, but you can place an order right now, which is what I meant by immediate availability.

Kind regards,
Ravdeep
