The Vibez (what sort of a name is that?) from Trekstor (who in the world is Trekstor?) will come in 8GB and 15GB storage options, 176x132 TFT color screen, OGG Vorbis and Flac audio support, DRM9/10 compliance, picture viewer (JPEG), crossfading functionality, playlists-on-the-go, removable battery with lifespan of 20 hours per charge, a wired remote (what are they thinking?) and an FM tuner card (is this thing even real?) for radio capabilities. The company is also working on a docking station. The Trekstor Vibez is expected to hit retail shelves starting November 2006 for 199 Euro and 229 Euro, respectively. Seriously, this is ridiculous. Some of the features that I pointed out above are suspicious enough for me to question whether this company is even legit. It seems like launching products is so easy these days, anyone with a few hundred dollars can do it. What’s up with that? |

TrekStor exists and it's a German company. They do have many products on the shelves (like HD, MP3s, USB etc..).
Before writing a column, you should have checked it out....

This is a 3D mock-up - look at the the screen, embossed with a drop shadow.
Analyst:
Do they products available in mass quantities in North America?
I think TrekStore is a national brand, which is why not too many people have heard about it.
I stand corrected, however.

The design looks pretty interesting. Thanks for pointing it out.
