Uniden has released a Windows Live Messenger phone which lets users receive phone calls from MSN Messenger’s free voice chat feature. According to Uniden, you can make phone calls with a regular phone line or through your PC with the aforementioned feature in Messenger Live, integrate your Windows Live contact list with up to 100 contacts, take it anywhere you go and use the Wi-Fi feature to make calls wirelessly.

We are not sure what the point of having a Messenger Live phone is. You can do the same thing with a headset and the application, and use your PC to store all contact information in a far more searchable way than WIN1200. Unless you are someone who prefers to talk on the phone, quite literally, than with a headset, this may be of some use to you, but other than that, we don’t see a lot of people opting for these devices.
