Sony Ericsson revealed five new phones yesterday, including the W850 Walkman. Sony also revealed another Walkman phone yesterday, but the W850 is based on the slider design, which is the main differentiating factor between W710 and W850.

Similar to other phones, the W850 carries Walkman Player 2.0 for easy access and navigation to the multimedia capabilities of the device. According to the press release, it’s the company’s first GSM/UTMS slider phone with a 2.0-megapixel camera and heartbeat illumination feature, which allows the phone to adapt to music beats as it lights up.

The W850 also supports Apple’s AAC format and comes default with 1GB memory stick PRO Duo. However, the storage is upgradeable to 4GB for more storage.

Sony Ericsson’s new slider phone is available in Precious Black and Golden white and is expected to ship during Q3 later this year.
