l2_001.PNGMotorola has recently added another slim phone to its product line, the SLVR L2. Over the years, we have seen cell phones go from humongous sizes to sleek and slim, especially with flip phones. But the trends are starting to revert again as companies announce flip phones as well as candy bar style phones. The SLVR L2 is an example of just that change.

The SLVR L2 hosts numerous features, including downloadable java applications, images, and MP3 ringtones in addition to video playback capabilities. Weighing at 3.03 ounces, the L2 also supports instant messaging, calculator, integrated speaker, currency converter and Bluetooth technology for wireless headsets.

Interestingly enough, the L2 doesn’t have a built-in camera, which may be the selling point for business professionals who are not authorized to carry a camera with them in their offices. Besides, not everyone wants a camera.

The L2 has a mini-USB port is discouraging, since majority of the wired headsets use standard USB ports. CNET has recently looked at the phone, and list a few more anomalies that may be of concern to you. The SLVR L2 is a low-end option for Cingular users only at $116 price tag after a 2-year contract.
