After Sony Ericsson, Toshiba and a host of others, we now have LG with a music phone, illogically named Fusic. Out of all the monikers they could’ve picked, they went with Fusic. I’m sorry, but someone needs to do a better job in naming these phones for LG.

The LG LX550 is a cell phone in addition to a music player with external playback controls, similar to MP3 players. In addition, it can broadcast music via Bluetooth or FM tuner to nearby stereo systems. The LX550 is equipped with a 1.3-megapixel camera, MicroSD card slot for extended storage space, internal and external LCD displays, a glowing keypad and interchangeable faceplates.

On top of this, LG plans to launch more cell phones in the future with names instead of model numbers. As I pointed out, it might be better if they name their phones slightly better than Fusic.

While pricing information is unavailable, the phone appears to be a value offering considering its price point and limited feature set. With that said, I must say the exterior of the device looks very close to Apple’s iPod.
