qunitetiii_001.PNGCNET has reviewed Klipsch’s latest 5.1 mini speaker set. Klipsch appears to be taking the Bose approach with its speaker units by miniaturizing a product. Despite its size, the Quintet III performs surprisingly well with ample sound, but the company requires you to purchase a matching subwoofer separately, which is tricky, states CNET.

Overall, the editors came away highly impressed with the unit.

However, for the price of $399.99, they also carry a steep price tag, which again hints on Klipsch’s desire to be the next Bose, but in a more mainstream manner. As Bose is entering the mainstream market, maybe it’s time for other companies to transition to the upscale, luxury market where Bose is clearly the leader.
