Now this is what I call innovation! BT has released a home phone using Bluetooth technology that you generally find in cell phones and other peripherals, such as keyboards and mice.

Because of its Bluetooth connectivity, it can sync to a variety of devices including PDAs, PCs and cell phones. This ensures that your contact list is up-to-date from one device to another. Technically, BT Glide is more or less a cell phone with a slider design, picture gallery, personalized ringtones, 200 name and number directory, 2” 65k color LCD display, integrated answering machine, predictive SMS text capability, caller display, 3x games and speaker phone.

Now that my excitement is over, could you tell me the striking differences between BE Glide “home phone” vs. a cell phone? Innovation aside, what’s the point of including all these cell phone-like features on a home phone. If I want to view photos, play games or text message, isn’t my cell phone good enough for that?
